Review: Blood Will Tell

Blood Will Tell
Blood Will Tell by Samantha Young

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Wow, I was really surprised by this book. It is a fresh and original idea. The ending was very abrupt, almost like the author just picked a chapter to stop at. I am going to read the next one. I wonder how it will go.

Review: Destiny Binds

Destiny Binds
Destiny Binds by Tammy Blackwell

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I will admit, I've had this ebook on my kindle for months and didn't read it. Why? Well, it's about werewolves. Nuff said, right? I bought it because it was $.99 and figured I might give it a go at some point.
Okay I'm an idiot, obviously.
This book was great, I really enjoyed it even though I am left with far more questions than answers. I think in many ways I am grateful I just read it so I could jump into the next one without having to wait.
I am a bit nervous though.
WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING??????
YA paranormal romances have become so cookie cutter and have developed there own version of trite that I am totally thrown for a loop by this story. Nothing is going as I would have expected and to honest it's making me very uneasy. I almost care too much. And I usually don't give a shit about much. So that's saying something.

I am going to read the next two but I will be doing so with great trepidation.

Ms. Blackwell please be nice!

Review: Across the Universe

Across the Universe
Across the Universe by Beth Revis

My rating: 0 of 5 stars

Honestly....I didn't finish it. I just didn't care about the characters. And it was so sllloooowwww (that should be read in a whiny voice). I made it just over half way but stopped comprehending and generally caring around page 100.
Eh...moving on.

Review: The Iron King

The Iron King
The Iron King by Julie Kagawa

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is strange. I really enjoyed this novel the world building was fantastic and, like always, I love a strong heroine.
So, yeah, the book was great yadda yadda yadda. THe thing is, I'm not going to read the next ones. Why? Well, I guess I just don't care enough about the characters (or something along those lines).
I figure, Meghan and Ash will be together, and then not, and then some other guy (probably Puck) will be thrown between them and then their irrevocably apart (or so we think), again but lo and behold by the last book the bow is placed upon the shinny faery box and all is happily ever blah ba blah.

So in the end, great book woo woo. Moving on...

Review: Darkfever

Darkfever
Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I kinda feel like I've just read half a novel; it feels incomplete. I will read the next and see how things progress. I am not a lover of open endings, however, I do know that this is a long series and therefore I will delay judgement.
I have however, enjoyed what I've read thus far.

Review: Hana

Hana
Hana by Lauren Oliver

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I love Hana. After reading that she will have a large role in the next two books is fantastic. Hana is one of my favorite characters and I hope she's happy. I just have a really bad feeling about what's going to happen.
Someone please explain to me why Hana apologizes at the end. Seriously...
