What exactly was this novel about?
Because the blurb was over and resolved about the 25% point in the book. I can't believe I am about to write this but it finally happened.....there was too much sex. Yes I understand one hot person plus another hot person equals hot sweaty sex, but not in EVERY chapter.

3 1/2 actually.
This is the first time EVER I've wanted a half star to add.
I loved this book so much. SO why three and a half stars??? Well it was last the 50 pages or so. It just kind of fizzled out. I will say, the first 300 were magical. The characters were all amazing. Jase and Sam are one of my favorite YA couples ever.
The side story with Nan was totally unfinished, but what can you do.
I do hope Fitzpatrick makes this a series with the Garrett family. They all deserve their very own story. I think I smell a Tim/Alice novel coming up...

Not terrible and not life changing. I enjoyed the few hours I spent with it.

What a great series. With Katy being a book blogger she bemoans about 'insta-love' and so many other typical unimaginative YA stereotypes. It's fun. I can relate to her and how she feels. Her dislike to all these supernatural reactions hinders her in some ways to see how she truly feels about Daemon.
I don't know what to think of where the story is going. The relationship between Daemon and Katy is so well done. I love when people make mistakes it makes them human (well maybe not Daemon LOL). Anyway, this was so heartbreaking and heart melting, I loved it.
Now where's the next book?

I'm conflicted. I enjoyed the story. It was suspenseful at times and really boring at others. I kind of feel as though I read half a story.
To be honest I enjoyed it more than not. I dislike unanswered questions so that is probably what sits poorly with me. I will read the next novel and see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I agree with some of the other reviewers. This novel is a bit slow. But like any great stew a slow cook makes for a great ending. I am really looking forward to the next novels in the Five Tribes series.

This was a great book. This is the first YA vampire book I've read since...well you know. The whole concept of vampires was tainted for me. So it took a while for me to open up to the bloodsuckers we all know and love.

I was so truthful. When dealing with love, it always comes back to communication.
I heard a saying once; not to be afraid to hurt the ones you love with the truth, so long as it's said with LOVE.
This book explains the truth in that very well.

I have very mixed feelings about this book.
I understand the idea of keeping the reader and characters clueless to some things. But this was a but much. I was getting exhausted by not knowing what was going on. It's hard to enjoy a book when you don't know what's what and what's truth.
I was going for three stars up until the epilogue. I just found myself annoyed with it all.

I might read the next novel. Just to get some damn answers. I'm just not sure it I care enough.
We shall see.

I liked this novel a whole lot more than I thought I would. I can't wait for the next one to come out. There were a few mistakes in the story line but unlike some really picky people I just enjoyed the ride Filloon provided.
I hope the next novel comes out sooner rather than later. It's not every day you have romance where the couple don't kiss, and yet your pulling for them the entire way.
So pleasantly surprised.
